We recently heard that a full blown production BMW i8 had been put on display at BMWi Park Lane, London – we simply had to get a closer look!
This is THE first i8 in the country, unfortunately we weren't allowed inside to get any interior shots. Not even the staff at Park Lane are allowed to open the doors!
Previously the BMW i8 concept that was used in the last Mission Impossible film was on display here.
The model on display was simply stunning, in Crystal White with BMW i Blue highlights. Sitting on 20 BMW i Turbine 625 alloy wheels, inside – from what we could see – was the Carpo Amido trim.

I get what BMW is trying to do but I want one of these without all the electric motors and small engine and power it with BMW's S63.

This is one of the few times I like wheels larger than 18" on a car.

They do look amazing, the ones on here are not the standard chunky looking ones and they look so much better!

If you look at the rear bumper (the white bit), it shares a similar bumper contour with the likes of the BMW Z8 and the 911.
